Napoleon dreamed of it!
Château d'Arcole is a family property located in the prestigious Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. The 5 hectares of the estate are planted on an exceptional terroir of clay-limestone soils worked in organic farming. This wine offers a beautiful deep purple color. Its nose offers very intense aromas of red fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, with toasted and grilled notes. The palate is suave, ample, charming. Fine and elegant, this wine is best enjoyed young, with fruit, but its robust structure allows it to age for a few years. The Castle owes its name to the Battle of Pont d'Arcole which pitted Napoleon's army against Austrian soldiers in northern Italy in 1796. Jean Barthe, soldier of the Napoleonic Guard and ancestor of the owners, participated in this victory historical.
