Irouléguy is the only controlled designation of origin in the French Basque Country. The Riouspeyrous family stands out for managing its 12 hectares biodynamically. The Schistes vintage speaks of this unique terroir. These metamorphic rocks bring a distinctive minerality to the wine. The salinity of the terroir was tamed by fermentation and aging in tuns. The aromatic complexity of the exotic aromas and the dense texture conclude with a tension on the finish.
